Sample Preparation Laborer

Job Description

The individual contributes to the smooth running of operations by adhering to work procedures, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.

Comprehensive training is provided upon hiring, along with ongoing support to facilitate integration and the development of skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and identify samples to be processed.
  • Prepare samples according to established procedures.
  • Perform crushing, grinding, pulverizing, and sieving operations.
  • Perform certain tasks related to monitoring and controlling the moisture content of samples.
  • Clean equipment and work areas.
  • Package and prepare samples for shipment or analysis.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform any other related duties associated with sample preparation.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in an industrial, mining, or laboratory environment is considered an asset.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive work.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods of time.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks, procedures, and work environments.
  • Ability to follow strict procedures and work in a team.
  • Regular schedule from Monday to Friday.
  • Available to work according to operational requirements, including day and evening shifts, as well as weekends.
