Job Description

The Mill Labourer works within the concentrator department and participates in various operations required to support the efficient functioning of production. The incumbent must be able to work in an industrial environment, follow established procedures, and maintain quality and safety standards at all times.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform various manual tasks related to concentrator operations.
  • Operate, monitor, and support production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Perform routine inspections and promptly report any equipment issues, abnormalities, or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas by performing routine housekeeping and general equipment maintenance.
  • Adhere to established work practices, production procedures, and all health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and well organized at all times.
  • Work closely with operators and team members to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.
  • Carry out any other related tasks as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the concentrator department.

Job Requirements

  • Vocational Diploma (DEP) in Mineral Processing Equipment Operation or any other relevant training.
  • Experience working as a labourer in an industrial or processing plant environment is an asset.
  • Previous experience working in an industrial setting is an asset.
  • A candidate who holds a valid work permit to work in Canada or permanent residency.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence required

  • Must be capable of performing physically demanding work and standing for long periods of time.
  • Demonstrated attention to equipment performance and the ability to detect and report abnormalities.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to following all operational procedures and health and safety requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
  • Must be comfortable working in industrial environments that may be noisy, dusty, and physically demanding.
  • Must be comfortable with housekeeping duties, general maintenance activities, and repetitive manual work.
